[ ]Korriban
"Korriban shall be as it always was. A graveyard for the darkest of the Sith Lords, still whispering within their tombs. It shall always be a source of evil, spawning threats throughout the millennia. It, like Malachor, brushes the edges of the empire that waits in the dark. And like Malachor, the Sith have forgotten it … for a time. They will remember."
―Darth Traya[src]

Korriban was the sole planet in the Horuset system, located across the galaxy from Koros Major[5]. It was the original homeworld of the Sith species and a sacred planet for the Sith Order, housing the tombs for many ancient and powerful Dark Lords of the Sith, and containing tremendous dark side power.

After the Hundred Year Darkness, the remaining Dark Jedi interbred with the Sith species and ruled the Sith using their Force powers. After the Great Hyperspace War, Korriban was abandoned and became a barren world. It was the site of two Sith Academies, and became the headquarters of the One Sith.

[ ]Hutt Space (2 sub-boards)
Hutt Space was formed by the Hutts of the Hutt Empire in 25,200 BBY and Varl became the capital. Later in 25,000 BBY Varl was destroyed by a Supernova and Nal Hutta became the new capital of Hutt Space/Hutt Empire.

Hutt Space was what remained of the ancient Hutt Empire, which existed in the times before Xim the Despot. The Hutt Grand Council controlled the region by overseeing the activities of the Hutt clans (kajidics) and their criminal syndicates. As a result, Hutt Space was not the most lawful place in the Galaxy.

During the first millennium of the Old Republic (beginning in 25,000 BBY) Hutt Space was located on a unnamed popular trade route, with Nal Hutta as the center and Nar Shaddaa by its side. However in 24,000 BBY the trade lanes shifted, to undocumented locations, thus all of Hutt Space began to fall into ruin and disrepair.

During the rule of the Galactic Empire, Hutt Space was reduced in size to what was called the Hutt Sector; it was governed by Moff Sarn Shild, and later by Moff Yref Orgege, though their authority was weak at best.

From the fall of the Empire to the Yuuzhan Vong War, Hutt Space seemed to have remain largely autonomous, and was sometimes still referred to as the Hutt Empire even during this period. During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion in 26 ABY, Hutt Space was devastated in retribution for the Hutts' double-dealings with the Yuuzhan Vong and the New Republic.

The Hutt Empire was destroyed in the process and the Yuuzhan Vong Empire took advantage of power vacuum created by the Hutt Empire's demise. With the Yuuzhan Vong's defeat in 29 ABY the Yuuzhan Vong abandoned all of Hutt Space leaving no one in control of the Oversector.

In 39 ABY Hutt Space refused to join the Five Worlds and remained independent from both the Five Worlds and the Galactic Alliance. However in 40 ABY, when the Confederation was formed, Hutt Space joined the organization, and eventually the Hutts themselves joined the members of the Oversector during the great conflict. It is unknown if it joined the Galactic Alliance when the war had ended.

[ ]Mindor
Mindor, also known as Taspan I, was a planet in the Inner Rim Territories with vast landmasses covered in grasslands. It had little to offer the galactic community other than its landmasses which would have been ideal for farming. Mindor had four medium sized moons that are very close to the planet.

In 5.5 ABY, General Luke Skywalker and Fenn Shysa's Mandalorian Protectors fought the forces of Lord Shadowspawn to the last man on the battlefields of this world. The battle devastated the planet, and the extreme loss of life convinced Skywalker to resign his commission.

Leia Organa and Han Solo were also on the planet at the time, and shared a stale meal on the field after the battle, surrounded by dead stormtroopers. Han Solo later recalled the harsh battle when he kidnapped Leia shortly before their wedding.

[ ]Ossus
"It's so peaceful here… the Force permeates everything."
―Nomi Sunrider[src]

Ossus was the third planet in the Adega system in the Auril sector. Originally a rich, lush world, Ossus was ravaged into an arid and toxic planet with the destruction of the Cron Cluster. Life returned to Ossus, however, and the planet was eventually restored by Yuuzhan Vong terraformers through the Ossus Project.

Ossus was an important Jedi site for over twenty-five millennia, serving as a repository of knowledge and a center for learning for the Old and New Jedi Orders alike. In the latter years of the Old Republic and beyond, it was home to the tribal Ysanna, descendants of Jedi who had survived the Cron supernova. The planet came under attack by the Sith twice, once in 3,996 BBY and once in 130 ABY, and was invaded by the forces of the Galactic Alliance Guard in 40 ABY. Ossus is also the home of the Jedi Faction.

[ ]Delaya
Delaya was the third planet from the star Alderaan in the Alderaan system. It was the sister world of Alderaan before the latter's destruction by the first Death Star. Delaya was so close to Alderaan, it was clearly visible in Alderaan's sky. Alderaan outsourced much of its industry to Delaya, creating a planet with a large population and many urban areas filled with factories and warehouses as well as homes. Delaya's busy economy attracted workers from many species, including Bothans, Besalisk, Ryn, and humans. After the destruction of Alderaan, Delaya was the only planet in the system that supported life. The blue quella gem was found on this planet. Senator Bail Antilles was responsible for passing laws that facilitated trade between the two planets in 33 BBY.

Carlist Rieekan was inspecting a new Rebel Alliance satellite transmission station in a far orbit around Delaya when Alderaan was destroyed. Delaya served as an evacuation site for some of the few who escaped Alderaan before its destruction.

When Princess Leia visited Delaya to formally mourn her homeworld along with the refugees from it as well as to garner support for the Rebel Alliance, she enountered the former Jedi Ferus Olin, as well as a group of Alderaanians who tried to turn her in to the Empire.

[ ]Dantooine
Dantooine was a pleasant world of grasslands, rivers and lakes. The planet was located in the Raioballo Sector of the Outer Rim at an endpoint of Myto's Arrow, the other endpoint of which was in the Obtrexta Sector, though Dantooine itself was still far removed from most galactic traffic. It hosted a small population spread amongst single-family settlements and small communities with large land holdings. Its sentient population consisted primarily of simple Human farmers, though Dantooine was also home to the primitive Dantari race. Native wildlife included the kath hound, the iriaz, the kinrath, and the graul. The planet had no industrial settlements or advanced technology by the time of the Galactic Civil War. Infinite Empire

The planet was one of the subject worlds of the Infinite Empire. The Rakata built several structures on its surface; at least one of which housed a Star Map and several Rakata-made droids, were still standing by the time of the Jedi Civil War.

Old Sith Wars -- During the Old Sith Wars, the Galactic Republic began a full-scale colonization campaign on Dantooine. While the Republic by itself had virtually no military on the planet, the settlers were protected by the Jedi Order.

By at least 3,997 BBY, a Jedi training enclave was established by Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, although ruins of an even older Jedi structure could be found on the planet. Many great Jedi of the Great Sith War were trained on Dantooine. However, the Enclave on Dantooine was infamous for the number of its students who eventually fell to the dark side; among them were some of the greatest enemies of the Republic during that unstable period, such as Exar Kun, Revan, and Malak. Forty years later, in 3,956 BBY, the leading instructors at the Dantooine Jedi Enclave were Masters Vrook Lamar, Zhar, Vandar Tokare, and Dorak. When Bastila Shan brought a mentally dead Revan before the Dantooine council, they decided to give Revan another chance to redeem himself. Revan was trained there for a second time.

Just weeks after Revan completed his new training, the Enclave, along with many of Dantooine's other settlements, was destroyed by Darth Malak, who was obsessed with finding Revan and Bastila (Malak also took special care to bombard the ancient Rakatan temple to preserve the Star Forge's secrecy, but by then it was too late). This attack sent the Dantooine farming community into decay, as the Republic, weakened by the war, could not offer its support to the remote world. Until the collapse of the Sith Empire a year later, Dantooine was occupied by the Sith, who executed almost all local leaders.

From 3,956 to 3,951 BBY, the settlers, led by Administrator Terena Adare, began to rebuild their community by constructing the outpost of Khoonda. By then, Dantooine was populated by mercenaries and salvagers, the latter trying to make a living by finding Jedi relics from the ruined Enclave and selling them. In 3,951, the Republic nearly lost Dantooine to the Exchange, which planned to use the world as an outpost in the Outer Rim Territories. Exchange mercenaries under the leadership of Azkul made trouble for the settlers, eventually culminating in the First Battle of Dantooine. Thanks to the efforts of Master Vrook and the Jedi Exile, the meager Khoonda militia prevailed over Azkul's forces, and Dantooine remained in the Republic. The Republic eventually sent some of its forces to protect the battered planet.

After the battle, the Enclave was rebuilt and briefly became the residence of the reformed Jedi Council (Master Vrook, Master Kavar, and Master Zez-Kai Ell), but it was abandoned shortly after, when the Council members were killed by Darth Traya. Buried beneath the deserted Enclave was a hidden facility in which the ancient Jedi Knights carried on mysterious cloning experiments.

Clone Wars -- During the Clone Wars, Mace Windu won a widely publicized victory at the Battle of Dantooine. He and hundreds of other clone troopers defeated an army of B2 super battle droids and a massive seismic tank without his lightsaber for much of the battle, despite the near-total destruction of the clone forces in the battle.

Galactic Civil War -- Years later, the Alliance to Restore the Republic established Dantooine as their headquarters, establishing a prefabricated base in the ruins of the old Jedi Enclave and using the planet as a staging post for starfighter strikes—most famously, the Battle of Danuta, for the recovery of the Death Star plans.

In 1 BBY, the special operative Jan Ors directed the seventeen-year-old Tarrin Datch to pilot her freighter carrying a cargo of stolen Imperial fuel slugs to the sanctuary of the Dantooine base. Once arriving there, Datch began training as a starfighter pilot and officially joined the Rebellion. The Dantooine base was deserted after Ryle Torsyn discovered an Imperial homing beacon there.

After the Alliance's relocation to Yavin 4, Princess Leia Organa tried to fool Grand Moff Tarkin into believing that the main Rebel base was still located on Dantooine, attempting to spare her homeworld of Alderaan from the destructive power of the Empire's newest weapon. Tarkin replied that Dantooine was too remote to use as an effective demonstration of the Death Star (the deciding factor here seemed to be a political and social impact rather than military necessity). Alderaan was destroyed and subsequently, Imperials did indeed discover the abandoned Rebel base. As Tarkin realized that Leia would lie to him even under the most dire circumstances, he ordered her execution.

The Empire took over the vacated Alliance base and discovered the Jedi cloning facility in the ruins, carrying out research to develop rapid cloning procedures. They also established an Imperial.

Ex-Imperial Officer Tycho Celchu also defected to the Rebel Alliance on this world. However, he was captured by the Imperial Storm Commando Corps. Before he was captured, he managed to send a panic-burst transmission to the orbiting members of Rogue Squadron who immediately began a rescue operation.

Luke Skywalker piloted a captured Imperial speeder bike to the landing zone, where he used several E-Web repeating blasters to stop an Imperial APC which Tycho had been stored upon.

After disabling the APC, Skywalker and Celchu used another two speeder bikes to escape from several waves of Probe droids, APCs, enemy speeders and TIE/sa starfighters. However, upon arriving at the rendezvous point with Sarkli, the Imperial forces had destroyed much of the Rebel task force, including several BTL Y-wing starfighters, leaving four T-65 X-wing starfighters, which the survivors used to escape. Upon reaching orbit, Celchu hemmoraged information about trapped scientists on the planet Ralltir.

Post-Endor era -- After the Battle of Endor, Dantooine came under New Republic control, and the elite unit known as Lando's Commandos made use of a cloaked stealth fighter housed in a "museum" on the planet—though given the lack of public infrastructure on the planet, and the secret nature of cloaking technology, this may have been a euphemistic description for a military storehouse. In the turbulent years following the reborn clone Emperor Palpatine's resurrection, the New Republic relocated several refugees from Eol Sha to Dantooine. The colonist refugees did not have a chance to meet the native Dantari, since Admiral Daala dispatched an Imperial force that massacred all the refugees.

Two months after the start of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, New Republic forces, including Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo, Jacen and Anakin Solo, landed on Dantooine to try to escape the invading Yuuzhan Vong. Eventually, though, the Yuuzhan Vong caught them in a deadlock, blocking their escape from the world. Many refugees and New Republic soldiers were killed before Admiral Traest Kre'fey's fleet arrived and rescued them. The Yuuzhan Vong quickly conquered Dantooine, destroying the native Dantari population. Kyp Durron later witnessed a two-kilometer-wide pit filled with the bones of those sacrificed to the Yuuzhan Vong gods.

It is assumed the Galactic Alliance reclaimed Dantooine when the Yuuzhan Vong surrendered.

[ ]Mon Calamari/Dac
Dac, as it was called in Mon Calamarian, Quarrenese, and Basic, also known as Mon Calamari and sometimes simply called Calamari, was a planet in the Calamari system of the Calamari Sector, located in the Outer Rim. It was home to a wealth of sentient species: the Mon Calamari, the Quarren, the Moappa, the Amphi-Hydrus, and the Whaladons. Mon Calamari was the name given to the planet by Human explorers from the Galactic Republic who first discovered and revealed the world to the rest of the galaxy. The native species referred to the planet as Dac. The planet was a shining bluish-white orb from space, due to its ocean-covered surface. It was home to 27.5 billion Mon Calamarians and Quarren, as well as surrounded by the impressive Mon Calamari Shipyards.

[ ]Duros
Duro (also known as Duros) was the heavily polluted and depopulated homeworld of the Duros species. Located on the Corellian Trade Spine, the planet itself was mostly abandoned, housing mostly food processing plants. Most people lived in one of the twenty orbiting cities. Duro was also home to a large number of orbital shipyards.

Pre-Republic -- Duro was surveyed by the Columi in 100,000 BBY, but the Columi were not impressed and passed it off as a primitive failure. Little knowing that the inhabitants of the world, the Duros, would become the second most space faring Sentients in the Galaxy in many, many millennia to come after the Humans in 25,000 BBY. Duro became a slave world of the Infinite Empire. Duros helped create the Star Forge 30,000 BBY. Following a plague that struck the Rakata, the Duros rebelled in 25,200 BBY. The Duros then formed a hereditary monarchy. The monarchy was based at Ranadaast, a city named after Queen Rana Mas Trehalt, which fell into disrepair and was infested by criminals when the monarchy fell into decline. Several years after the fall of the monarchy Duro became a member world of the Herglic Trade Empire, the most powerful government in the Core Worlds region at the time.

Old Republic -- Duros were interested in exploration and ventured off their homeworld to explore the galaxy at an early age. Hyperspace cannons linked Duro with Coruscant, Corellia, and other Core Worlds. Having reverse-engineered the hyperdrive independently of the Corellians, Duro entered a Golden Age as a Core Founder 25,000 BBY under Queen Rana Mas Trehalt at the formation of the Galactic Republic. The monarchy was eventually abolished in favor of a collection of ruling corporations. The Duros High House became the government/legislature, and the Chief Representative Officer became the planet's head of state, and the Herglic Trade Empire fall with the formation of the new galactic government. The Duros colonized Neimoidia during their earliest wave of expansion, though the Neimoidians were considered a separate culture by 15,000 BBY. The Duros discovered Sneeve 13,975 BBY, Adner 5,000 BBY, and Koboth (prior to 219 BBY).

3,962 BBY, the planet itself was laid to near-total waste during the Mandalorian Wars, when the Mandalorian invasion fleet advancing on the Colonies and Core regions destroyed much of the world using thousands of Basilisk War Droids. Years of misery and rebuilding were ahead of the Duros people, merely the latest phase in the long series of Sith Wars. During the War of Light and Darkness, the Duros colony on Harpori was wiped out by Kaox Krul 1,002 BBY.

[ ]Tatooine
Tatooine was a desert world in a binary star system in the Arkanis Sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was inhabited by poor locals who mostly farmed moisture for a living. Other activities included used equipment retailing and scrap dealing. The planet was on the 5709-DC Shipping Lane, a spur of the Triellus Trade Route, which itself connected to the Sisar Run. The planet was not far from the Corellian Run. It had its own navigation system. However, it would still play a role in galactic events, serving as the home of Anakin Skywalker. It was here that Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn recognized Anakin's potential to become a Jedi and where he introduced him to Obi-Wan Kenobi, his future master and mentor. Tatooine was also the home of Anakin's son, Luke, where he lived until his early adulthood. The planet built up a very bad reputation, often being viewed as the cesspool of the galaxy due to the high-level of criminals who could be found onworld.

Infinite Empire -- Tatooine was once a lush world that had large oceans and a world-spanning jungle inhabited by the native and technologically advanced Kumumgah. Sometime in its history, the Rakatan Infinite Empire invaded the planet and conquered and enslaved its native inhabitants. The Kumumgah eventually rebelled and managed to drive the Rakata off the planet. In response they subjected the planet to an Orbital Bombardment that "glassed" (that is, fused the silica in the soil into glass, which then broke up over time into sand) the planet and boiled its oceans away. This drastic climatic change split the indigenous Kumumgah into two races: the Ghorfas—also known as Tusken Raiders or Sandpeople—and the Jawas. It is a planet where natives (specifically middle-aged and older Humans) are often mistaken to be a decade or more older than they actually are due to the twin suns and harsh climate.

[ ]Mandalore Sector
The Mandalore sector was a sector located in the Outer Rim Territories, between Ojoster sector and Phindar. It contained the planets Mandalore, Gargon, Concord Dawn, Vorpa'ya. Concord Dawn and Vorpa'ya were in close proximity to each other and in the direction of Perlemian Trade Route in the Mid Rim.

This sector was conquered by the Mandalorians during the time of the Galactic Republic. After the formation of the Empire the sector was under the control of Grand Admiral Miltin Takel. When the sector began having problems with "albino-skinned marauders," Grand Admiral Josef Grunger aided Takel's first officer in patrolling the sector while Takel was away at the second Death Star. When word reached Grunger that the Death Star had been destroyed, he immediately opened fire on the officer's ship, disabling it. He soon had control of the sector, which Takel, who survived the Death Star's destruction, was unable to regain.

[ ]Klatooine
Klatooine was the arid homeworld of the Klatooinians. It was located within the Si'Klaata Cluster, under Hutt control. It was covered with deserts and, to a lesser extent, savannas. It was home to the Derelkoos Desert, the location of a fissure that spurted a fountain of liquid wintrium. No technology was allowed one kilometer around this Fountain of Ancients, which the Klatooinians revered as a holy site.

The planet was taken over by the Hutts under the Treaty of Vontor in 25,100 BBY. Klatooine was ruled by the Council of Elders. The Hutts, however, controlled all Klatooinian activities offworld. The Klatooinian Trade Guild formed on Klatooine 4,995 BBY.

The Lesser Houdoggin, in addition to paddy frogs, a Hutt delicacy, came from this world.
00
[ ]Vulpter
Vulpter was the third and primary planet of the Vulpter system in the Deep Core, and the homeworld of both the Vulptereen and the garbage chasers. Vulpter was on the opposite end of the Carbonite Run from Empress Teta, with the destroyed Goluud system in between. Vulpter was once a lush, temperate world of forests and grasslands. However, over-industrialization by the native Vulptereen during the time of the Galactic Republic transformed the planet into a smog-shrouded world of barren wastelands and dingy industrial centers. Worse, Vulpter became exploited by the Trade Federation, which used the planet as a dumping ground for waste products. The Federation cared little for the planet's ecosystem, seeing Vulpter simply as a factory world in which the Vulptereen were forced to toil as miners for underground storage facilities. Anything deemed too large or toxic to store was launched into orbit, a practice that, over time, formed a ring of debris around the planet, choking out some of the natural sunlight. Since the gravitational pull of so many stars snarls the fabric of hyperspace, the region has long been thought to be impenetrable.

By this time, one in five cities on Vulpter remained inhabitable, and the planet's animal life was by now extinct. Residents suffered from diseases brought about by the now toxic air and water supplies. The Vulptereen, however, remained on-world, clinging tenaciously to their devastated homeworld. Both the Trade Federation and Arakyd Industries, a subsidiary of the Techno Union, set up operations on Vulpter during the last centuries of the Republic, with the latter taking the planet as its headquarters. The Vulptereen designed products for the droid and Podracer markets.

The planet was seen as so insignificant that it was often left off Trade Federation star charts, and this situation did not improve during the time of the Galactic Empire. Further, the Empire blockaded Vulpter following the Declaration of a New Order, not considering it worthy even of foodstuffs. Fortunately for the planet's inhabitants, the Alliance to Restore the Republic used the world as a safe haven during the Galactic Civil War, and the New Republic embarked upon a restoration project following the fall of the Empire. The Vulptereen aided greatly in the restoration, using technologies that proved successful on worlds such as Duro.

During the Second Galactic Civil War, Vulpter was the location of a secret meeting between Galactic Alliance Chief of State Cal Omas and Confederation leader Dur Gejjen to bring an end to the conflict. It was also where Ben Skywalker, acting under orders by Jacen Solo and the Galactic Alliance Guard assassinated Gejjen.

[ ]Dogeo
Dogeo is a planet in which many of its inhabitants live underground due to the highly poisonous atmosphere. Bizarre creatures and ancient races populate it, nearly all of whom are of hostile nature. Dogeo's intelligent inhabitant are the Drow, Elves that have claimed all the caverns and a number of tunnels surrounding their subterranean cities as their own.

There is no light except for occasional patches of phosphorescent fungus; most Dogeo inhabitants either have highly developed senses other than sight or have developed Darkvision. Food can be extremely difficult to find, and much of the natural vegetation is poisonous. In addition, drinkable water is seldom easy to locate in this setting.

Dogeo is permeated with a magical energy the Drow call faerzress, which is used as a source of energy by the native plant life but which interferes with scrying and teleportation spells.

There is no unified underground government, although there are individual city-states, each with varying forms of rule. Thus there are cities ruled by an autocracy, magocracy, matriarchy, monarchy, theocracy, and so forth. Dogeo's economy primarily deals in armor, exotic goods, magic, slavery, timber and weapons. The ethical code of many indigenous races tends toward evil or indifferent behaviors; good natured sentiments are rare.

Other inhabitants of Dogeo's caverns are:

-- Aboleths
-- Beholders
-- Derro
-- Drow (dark elves)
-- Duergar (gray dwarves)
-- Dwarves
-- Illithids (Mind Flayers)
-- Hook horrors
-- Kuo-toa
-- Myconids (Fungus-men)
-- Svirfneblin (Deep Gnomes)

Earth
[ ]Myrkr
Myrkr was a forested world, located fairly close to the galaxy's major population centers. It was the Neti homeworld, although the Neti established a colony on Ryyk some time prior to 4,000 BBY, apparently abandoning Myrkr. In 3,963 BBY, Myrkr was the site of fighting during the Mandalorian Wars. Myrkr was settled by Humans circa 300 BBY. During the Clone Wars, many pirates, criminals, and bounty hunters hid on Myrkr because the ysalamiri were avoided by the Jedi and it was a perfect place for a base of operations because the high metal content of the flora confused most sensor equipment. Despite its relatively central location, Myrkr was generally ignored by galactic society during the time of the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire. The guardian of Nomi Sunrider's holocron was known to be from the race that habited Myrkr. Myrkr was home to the ysalamiri, creatures which created bubbles which pushed back the Force. This ability evolved to protect them from pack animals called vornskrs, the only known animals to hunt exclusively by sensing the Force. The ysalamiri lived on olbio trees.

In 9 ABY, Myrkr was located between Imperial and New Republic territory. During that time, Talon Karrde's organization had a base on Myrkr. In the early phases of Grand Admiral Thrawn's campaign, Imperial forces moved on the world in order to secure supplies of ysalamiri.

The Yuuzhan Vong conquered the planet and used the native vornskrs to create the voxyn, which were cloned in the worldship Baanu Rass in the Myrkr system. A Jedi strike team infiltrated this worldship to kill the voxyn queen. During this mission, Anakin Solo was killed. After the mission, Baanu Rass was destroyed, and the Domain Lah worldship went into orbit over Myrkr.

[ ]Coruscant
The Galactic Center of Coruscant (pronounced /'kʊɹəsɑnt/), also known as Imperial Center or the Queen of the Core, was the political hub of the galaxy for millennia. It was generally agreed that Coruscant was, during most of Galactic history, the most politically important world in the galaxy. At various times, it was the capital of the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire, the New Republic, briefly the Empire Reborn, the Yuuzhan Vong Empire occupation, the Galactic Alliance, the Fel Empire and Darth Krayt's Sith Empire. These governments, that all controlled Coruscant, controlled the galaxy in the process.

A large number of the galaxy's trade routes—including the Perlemian Trade Route, the Corellian Run, the Metellos Trade Route, the Koros Trunk Line, and the Leisure Corridor—went through Coruscant, making it one of the richest worlds in the galaxy. Tellingly, the planet's hyperspace coordinates were (0,0,0), and the military designation was Triple Zero. Accordingly, it was the main planet of the all-important 'Sector Zero', a military designation for the Coruscant and surrounding systems.

The actual planet-wide metropolis of Coruscant was divided into smaller 'cities', (though each was the size of the average country by most standards). Among these was the administrative center, known as Galactic City, Republic City, Coruscant City or the City of Spires under the Galactic Republic, Imperial City during the rule of the Galactic Empire, and New Republic City under the New Republic, and later Yuuzhan'tar when the planet was under Yuuzhan Vong control.

Pre-Republic. The very early history of Coruscant is a bit sketchy and is not well known. Coruscant was considered by many to be the Human homeworld. Millennia ago, the Architects could have removed Humans from Coruscant with which to populate Corellia.

Around 200,000 BBY, the near-Human Taungs attempted to conquer the 13 baseline Human nations of the Battalions of Zhell. A volcano decimated the Zhell, the ash filling the skies for two years, so the Taungs adopted the name Dha Werda Verda (Warriors of Shadow) for themselves. The Human Zhell eventually recovered and drove the Taungs offworld.

One hundred millennia later, Coruscant was surveyed by the Columi, who dismissed the planet as a primitive disappointment, despite the already planet-spanning ecumenopolis of Galactic City. New buildings were built on the old. As a result, there was virtually no exposed land. In the forgotten underlevels of the city, there was darkness, pollution and crime. Higher up, there were government offices and penthouses owned by the elite. The lower fifty levels of the ecumenopolis is said to have last seen sunlight around 95,000 BBY.

Coruscant was one of many worlds conquered by the Infinite Empire of the Rakata, who used Human slaves to build the Star Forge in 30,000 BBY. Under Rakatan domination, the Humans of Coruscant's colonization attempts were limited to sleeper ships, which ended up on Alderaan, in the Tion Cluster, Seoul 5, Kuat, Alsakan, Axum, Anaxes, Atrisia, Metellos, Corulag, and many other worlds. The Rakata were eventually decimated by a massive plague, leading to slave revolutions on Coruscant and other subjugated worlds.

Over the next two centuries, Coruscant was linked to other Core Worlds, including Corellia, Alderaan, New Plympto and Duro, by hyperspace cannons, via the Herglic Trade Empire. It was during this time that the Coruscant government peacefully absorbed the nearby Azure Imperium. During these pre-Republic years, the languages of Coruscant and its neighbors meshed to become Old Galactic Standard.

Early Republic. In 25,000 BBY, the Corellians and Duros invented the hyperdrive proper, allowing Coruscant to become the capital of a democratic union;the Galactic Republic. The planet remained the Republic's capital for twenty five thousand years. Shortly after the formation of the Republic, the Perlemian Trade Route was mapped, linking Coruscant to Ossus and bringing the Jedi Knights into the Republic. Over the next millennium, the Corellian Run was mapped, linking Coruscant to Corellia and beyond. Blasters were also invented on Coruscant around this time, and the famous Galactic Museum was constructed in 12,000 BBY.

From the very beginning, Coruscant, as the Republic's capital, was the primary objective in several wars. The earliest among these was the Tionese War with the Honorable Union of Desevro and Tion in 24,000 BBY, in which Coruscant was bombarded with Tionese pressure bombs. Other early battles included the Alsakan Conflicts, the Duinuogwuin Contention, the Great Hyperspace War, the Third Great Schism, the Great Droid Revolution, and the Great Sith War.

Following the devastation of Ossus, the Jedi Council took up residence in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, to which many Jedi relics from Ossus were taken. The Temple was greatly expanded, including the building of the original Jedi Council Chamber. The Temple was repeatedly expanded including in 3,519 BBY, 2,519 BBY (when the Jedi Archives were built), 2,019 BBY, and 1,000 BBY (when the Temple spires were built). In 2,973 BBY, the Senate Rotunda was founded, replacing the previous assembly place. The exterior of this massive structure would survive the planet's transformation into the new Yuuzhan'tar.

[ ]Nubia
Nubia was a small, temperate world located in the Nubus system on the outer edge of the Core Worlds. It was the headquarters of Nubian Star Drives, Inc., developers of parts for starships, including the hyperdrive for the Naboo cruisers. It also was headquarters for Industrial Automaton, TradeCo, Inc., and the massive PharmCorp. Although not heavily urbanized and with a relatively rural landscape and economic backbone (by the standards of the heavily developed Core Worlds), Nubia was always considered a deserving member of the title of 'Core World' and all its associated connotations. It was viewed as a planet whose population appreciated great beauty (as symbolized by their graceful starships) and a close relationship with the natural environment of their world, as well as enjoying the cosmopolitan lifestyle and pursuits of their counterparts on planets such as Coruscant or Kuat. Nubia may have been the homeworld of the ronto. Its capital was Nuba City. Nubia was colonized by hardy Human settlers approximately 22,000 BBY, after the discovery of large subterranean aquifers below the planet. Installing massive pumps to bring water to the surface, they created an instantly habitable world: 'Just add water.' This soon encouraged colonists to settle. In just a few decades Nubia became an agricultural powerhouse. An organized democracy was soon established to rule the planet. Few cared to admit the government was corrupt, with puppet officials appointed through rigged elections. The true leader was the head of PharmCorp, a Hutt by the name of Prall. Over time, many planets coveted Nubia's resources, but they had to contest with the shadow government that ruled the world.

When the Galactic Empire rose to power, it coveted Nubia's massive grain production to fuel their war efforts. The Empire also feared that Nubia Star Drives Inc. might be utilized by the Rebel Alliance to manufacture ships, so they placed an Imperial-class Star Destroyer in orbit over the planet and instituted martial law on the surface. Within hours, stormtroopers patrolled the streets and an Imperial governor assumed authority.

When the Empire was defeated, the New Republic returned Nubia to its original government and gave the planet a council seat on the Senate. However, the New Republic tried to remove all Imperials in the system, making some believe the New Republic was worse than the Empire.

[ ]Corellian Sector
An ancient and advanced group of worlds, the Corellian sector was one of the earliest interstellar communities, developing it into one of the most industrialized sectors along with the Kuat sector and Humbarine sector. This industry and interconnectivity spawned many important trade clusters and powerful corporations. The sector was the hub of the Corellian Run and the Corellian Trade Spine. Corellia, the ostensible sector capital, was so predominant within the sector, that the terms "Corellian system" and "Corellian sector" were often used synonymously or erroneously. The other systems in the sector were referred to as the Outlier systems.

During the later years of the Galactic Republic, of which several planets in the sector were founding members, the Corellian sector was represented in the Galactic Senate by Com Fordox and later by Garm Bel Iblis, who despite his efforts to seal the sector, was unable to shield it from the bloodshed of the Clone Wars. With the foundation of the Galactic Empire, the sector was forced under the hand of Coruscant once again, with Fliry Vorru as its Moff. Its shipyards were commandeered by the Imperial Starfleet, its economy interrupted by Palpatine's wide military industrial complex and its young drafted into the military. During this time so many beings fled the sector to become smugglers, criminals, or Rebels that they almost became synonymous with the sector name. Following the Battle of Endor, a large number of Imperials streamed into the Sector, giving new authority to pro-Imperial factions.

Thus, after the fall of the Empire-proper, the sector seized the chance for independence, and the Corellian sector became intensely introverted and isolationist during the period following the Galactic Civil War. Doman Beruss represented expatriates of the sector on the New Republic Provisional Council. Once again, efforts to isolate itself failed. The sector was the battle ground first for the internecine war between Grand Admirals Josef Grunger and Danetta Pitta that ended in the climactic Battle of Tralus, and then for Thrackan Sal-Solo's attempted secession of the sector from the New Republic (see First Corellian Crisis). Eventually, the Corellian sector opened up to the New Republic at the Corellian Trade Summit, but maintained many stringent limitations.

Membership in the New Republic brought a new period of cooperation. The Duro system, lumped together with the Corellian sector by the Empire, was spun off and named as the seat of the new Duro Sector. The worlds of the Sector worked together to equip, manage and man the Corellian Defense Force, which included the Space Defense Service's Corellian Sector Fleet. They were also served by a sectorwide independent news network, the Corellian Sector Newsfeed. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Chelch Dravvad represented the sector in the New Republic Senate.

Starting around 39 ABY, the sector once more attempted to assert its independence during the Second Galactic Civil War.

[ ]Byss
Byss was a planet in the Deep Core, near the center of the galaxy, discovered no earlier than 45 BBY. A local day lasted 31 standard hours, and a local year lasted 207 standard days. It was the endpoint of the Byss Run.

Byss itself was somewhat of a myth, seeming to be the perfect place to live. Its eerie blue-green glow, caused by its sun, also added to the strangeness of the world. Despite this outward appearance, however, Emperor Palpatine's dark side energies were everywhere, corrupting not only the inhabitants, but the planet itself.

Byss was the secret throne world of Palpatine and the location of his towering Imperial Citadel. He also kept his secret supply of clone bodies there. The surface of the world was dotted with "spectacular" ruins that were said to be pre-Expansion Era. During the Galactic Empire's expansion into the Deep Core region, Palpatine selected Byss as his personal retreat and his secret throne world. Thousands of non-Human slaves were forced to labor in the "recolonization efforts" on Byss such as the Utapauns after the Clone Wars. It was on Byss that a number of captured AgriCorps workers and Padawans were held captive under the supervision of Sly Moore, until the Emperor introduced them to Darth Vader. Vader killed all but four of them; these four he trained to be Inquisitors. One of the chosen, named Antinnis Tremayne, would eventually become a High Inquisitor. It was the site of the Sarlacc Project, where a Super Star Destroyer prototype was under creation before being destroyed by a group of freedom fighters and pirates under Bail Organa and Alya Aldrete.

The Emperor later drew ignorant followers to the planet under the pretext that it was a paradise world. Among them were survivors of the Destruction of Alderaan, which he offered to resettle on Byss in a public speech delivered following the destruction of the world. Once they had settled into their new lives on the paradise world, the Emperor revealed his true plans for Byss. Immigrants lived out their lives in elaborate pageants and amusements, which distracted them from what Palpatine was really doing: draining their life energies to power his abominable experiments. Eventually, Byss was entirely enveloped in the dark side of the Force. This was evident by the eerie blue-green sunlight that bathed the world in a strange glow. Byss was fanatically loyal to the Emperor even after his first death at the Battle of Endor. When the Emperor was reborn in a new clone body, Byss became the capital world of the Galactic Empire, which Palpatine planned on rebuilding into a Dark Empire, the beginnings of a universe spanning magocracy. Byss was destroyed during a battle with the New Republic when Eclipse II rammed the Galaxy Gun, causing the last projectile of the Galaxy Gun to destroy the planet.

In 14 ABY, Tavion Axmis absorbed the lingering dark side energy from the remains of Byss during her campaign to resurrect Marka Ragnos. Rosh Penin was sent to investigate, though was seduced to the dark side by Tavion. Kyle Katarn and Jaden Korr later embarked on a mission to Byss to discover Penin's fate. The Raven's Claw was captured by a Dreadnaught-class cruiser among the planet's remains, though the Jedi ultimately escaped the clutches of the Imperial Remnant.

[ ]Denon
Denon was a planet between Osarian and Nubia, with city growth covering the entire surface, similar to Coruscant. The planet was at the confluence of the Hydian Way and the Corellian Run. In terms of being an ecumenopolis, it was second only to Coruscant. Denon was a heavily-populated world that rose to prominence during the rule of the Galactic Republic.

Denon was where Zam Wesell trained to become an assassin, and was the location of a murder trial against Doctor Evazan, though he ultimately escaped from the courtroom. The planet was later adopted as the temporary capital of the Galactic Alliance following the resolution of the Yuuzhan Vong War in 29 ABY. Denon was chosen as the new galactic headquarters due to the fact that it had escaped the Yuuzhan Vong invasion unscathed, and thanks to its proximity to the Core Worlds. By 35 ABY Coruscant had become the galactic capital once more and Denon was the second most important world in the Galaxy once again.

Following the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Vahalii family, which had fled Kaikielius during Operation Shadow Hand, regained wealth and importance on Denon.

[ ]Bothan Sector
Bothan Sector, also known as Bothan Space, was in the Mid Rim. Planets in Bothan Sector included Mandell, Sennatt, Torolis, Bothawui, Krant, Kothlis, Tao-Grant, and possibly Dressel. Most worlds in the Sector had Bothan colonies, and was more or less controlled by the Bothan Council. The edge of Bothan Space was known as the Bothan Border and contained the systems of Kathol and Dinlo as well as many others.

The Sector was represented by Polo Se'lab in the Galactic Senate; by Borsk Fey'lya on the New Republic Provisional Council; and by Mak Sezala in the New Republic Senate.

Sometime prior to the Clone Wars, the entire sector was saved from Wookiee bandits by Jedi Master Knol Ven'nari.

Systems included:
-- Both system
-- Dressel system
-- Kothlis system
-- Tao-Grant system

[ ]Alderaan
Alderaan, located in the Core Worlds, was the second planet in the Alderaan system, and the home of many famous heroes, including Leia Organa Solo, Bail Organa, and Ulic Qel-Droma. Renowned galaxywide for its unspoiled beauty, Alderaanians worked with and around the land to preserve as much of the natural surroundings as they could.

In an attempt by Grand Moff Tarkin and the Galactic Empire to intimidate the galaxy into submission, the unarmed and peaceful planet of Alderaan was destroyed by the first Death Star in 0 BBY.
00
[ ]Illum
Ilum was the ice planet home to many of the Adegan crystals used in the construction of Jedi lightsabers. The caverns containing the crystals were long ago turned into a Jedi temple. Unlike the crystals of other planets, the crystals of Ilum could only produce green and blue lightsaber crystals. As part of his training, Anakin Skywalker, along with his mentor and friend Obi-Wan Kenobi, traveled to Ilum so that Anakin could build his first lightsaber. The two faced multiple challenges in scaling the slopes that lead up to the cave, including running into a nest of Gorgodons. Upon entering the cave, Anakin first faced Darth Maul's ghost before finally completing his lightsaber.

In 22 BBY, it was the location of the Battle of Ilum. After the fall of the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire established a base on the planet to intercept any Jedi who might return for lightsaber crystals.

Ilum was long used by Jedi as a location to find crystals for lightsaber construction. To ensure the security of the planet and the crystals, the planet had been left off of starcharts for that very reason. Because its existence was not known generally to non-Jedi, Ilum was virtually forgotten after the destruction of the Jedi and Palpatine's information purges. This gave the remaining Jedi a safe harbor. After the Great Jedi Purge, Obi-Wan Kenobi received intelligence that his friend, Jedi Master Garen Muln, had returned to Ilum to hide in the crystal caves. Ferus Olin, a former Jedi apprentice, returned to the caves to retrieve crystals to build a new lightsaber. He also found Garen. The Jedi had grown weak. He gave Ferus his old lightsaber, which needed new crystals. Ferus inserted his crystals and carried the weak Jedi Master out of the caves. Obi-Wan came to their rescue before the Imperials could take them hostage. Another Jedi also took refuge there: Fy-Tor-Ana. However, according to Garen, she returned to Coruscant to see if any other Jedi had survived. She did not return, but it was rumored that she was imprisoned on Coruscant.

During the Empire's hunt for Moff Kalast, who was leaking information to the Rebels, they discovered a Pirate base above Ilum, where Boba Fett (in the Slave I) tried to disable their sensors so an Imperial fleet could capture the Pirate Leader.

[ ]Malastare
Malastare was the high-gravity homeworld of the quadrupedal Dug race, on the Hydian Way. Malastare had a variety of terrains including forests, deserts, methane pools, and rivers. This made the planet a favorite podracing location. There, local and interstellar stars such as the Dug Sebulba competed in events such as the Malastare 100, the Dug Derby, Sebulba's Legacy, the Phoebos Memorial Run and the Vinta Harvest Classic. Circa 8,000 BBY, the Galactic Republic established an outpost on Malastare since it was located at a key spot along the Hydian Way trade route. Later, in ca. 1,000 BBY, a contingent of Gran colonists settled on the planet. First contact between the Gran and the Dugs was bloody, and a long, brutal war ensued. Because of the power and influence the Gran wielded in the Galactic Senate, the Republic settled the violence in the Gran's favor.

The Gran Protectorate became established circa 1,000 BBY as a consequence, and the Dugs were demilitarized, stripped of political power, and relocated to the western continent of their own planet. They were exploited and disenfranchised by the Gran colonists who ruled Malastare. The Gran ruled Malastare and represented the planet in the Galactic Senate. Dugs were little more than subservient laborers treated as slaves and paid minute wages.

In the Galactic Republic, Malastare was represented in the Galactic Senate exclusively by Gran politicians such as Aks Moe, Ainlee Teem, Baskol Yeesrim, and Ask Aak. In his quest to become the prime clone, the bounty hunter Jango Fett visited Malastare in search of the crimelord Sebolto, thought to be in league with the Bando Gora crime syndicate. Malastare remained loyal to the Republic during the Clone Wars, its Senators serving on the Loyalist Committee. An organization called Dugs for Democracy opposed the Military Creation Act and fought for the civil rights of Dugs. In 21 BBY, the Battle of Malastare was fought.

In 19 BBY, around the time when Order 66 was issued, Captain Ozzik Sturn became the Chief Magistrate of Malastare after the Empire took over the planet. He quickly became bored with the native fauna and started hunting sentient beings. He would have prisoners (political and otherwise) released into his own private hunting reserve so that he could have the thrill of hunting them down. The Dug and Gran populous soon grew outraged by his behavior and there was an uprising. This resulted in Ozzik Sturn being transferred to Kashyyyk.

During the New Republic era, Dugs were granted equal rights and a Dug represented Malastare in the New Republic Senate. The planet was conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong, but the invaders did little damage other than destroying the local industrial base. The planet was liberated and had senatorial representation in the Galactic Alliance, but since many worlds had suffered worse damage from the Yuuzhan Vong, the Alliance largely left the planet to rebuild on its own, to the ire of both Dugs and Gran. Prior to the beginning of the Second Corellian Crisis, the planet's methane farms at least had been rebuilt.

[ ]Kamino
Kamino, called Planet of Storms, was the watery world where the Clone Army for the Galactic Republic was created, as well as the Kamino Home Fleet. It was inhabited by a race of tall, elegant beings called the Kaminoans, who kept to themselves and were known for their cloning technology. Kamino was located just south of the Rishi Maze, and was governed by the Ruling Council, headed by Prime Minister Lama Su.
00
[ ]Adari
Adari, adopted home of the Adarians, was a planet dotted with dense forested areas. It bought neutrality during the Galactic Civil War by supplying the Galactic Empire with extensive resources. Now, the planet was known for manufacturing, mining, and pacifism. It was located 400 miles east of Dantooine, and known as the "refudge planet" for outcasted Jedi and Rebel Alliance troops. The planet was filled with deadly plants that killed those who ate them. The planet was inhabited by Gungans, Wookiees, and few Humans.

There was a small ancient Jedi order who had taken home upon the surface of Adari. The smallest, but oldest order in history. They had made peace amongst the planet, mostly because it was mostly overseen by those who didn't care to go there. They had many small towns and cities. There was a Jedi academy started by Oucasta-Digani, an ancient Jedi Master, who originally stated that the Jedi could not win without soldiers.

[ ]Hapes Cluster (4 sub-boards)
The Hapes Cluster was a grouping of several hundred stars within the area of nebulous gases known as the Transitory Mists within the Inner Rim—an impediment to hyperspace navigation that had kept the stars of the cluster isolated from the rest of the galaxy from before 3,000 BBY. This region's high density of stars, nebulae and moons bathed its worlds—particularly Hapes itself—in bright light, which, over the centuries, caused the Hapans to lose most of their night vision.
00
[ ]Caamas
Caamas was a highly populated and marsh-covered Core World in the Cirius system, the second planet orbiting the star Cirius. It was notable for the devastation it suffered during an Imperial orbital bombardment which destroyed its ecosystem and nearly wiped out the native Caamasi. Before its devastation, Caamas was one of the Core Founders of the Galactic Republic and the homeworld of behemoths and the Caamasi people. Some legends claimed that the early Jedi learned morality from the Caamasi, whose name came to mean 'friend from afar' or 'stranger to be trusted' in various languages used throughout the galaxy. Despite these legends, few Caamasi ever learned the ways of the Force under the Jedi. There was, however, a Jedi Temple established there for contemplation, learning, and teaching proper moral judgment, and at least one Caamasi did become a Jedi, Ylenic It'kla, who served during the Clone Wars.

The planet was represented in the Galactic Senate by Eeshrin Ot'Hyne, who opposed the Military Creation Act. Despite this, Caamas remained loyal to the Republic during the Clone Wars that followed. Pacifistic by nature, the Caamasi found war distasteful, possessing a deep empathy and respect for other beings, including their enemies. Destruction

Although Palpatine appreciated the loyalty of Caamas, he found their adherence to the principles and values of the Old Republic intolerable. The Empire had the planet subjected to a planetary bombardment in 19 BBY shortly after the Clone Wars, after the powerful and heavily guarded planetary shields were infiltrated and lowered by Bothan agents. The Jedi Temple on Caamas was ruined, suffering many direct hits at Palpatine's direction. Many survivors fled to other worlds including, ironically, Alderaan. It was here that one of the largest communities of the Caamasi Remnant settled, hoping to find sanctuary, only to die when that planet too was destroyed by the first Death Star. The Royal Library on Alderaan contained a great deal of information on the attack. In later years other communities of Caamasi survivors were formed on Kerilt and Susevfi.

Several years after the destruction of Caamas, a meteor hit the planet and carved a massive crater in its surface. Under the New Republic, a few Caamasi founded Refuge City on Caamas, from which they hoped to decontaminate and rescue their blighted world. They were aided by the Ithorians, who were naturally drawn to such projects, as they were with the reconstruction of Telos IV many centuries prior. Some of the Ithorians, however, arrived when their herdship crashed on Caamas under mysterious circumstances, and the xenological jungle it contained took root on Caamas' smallest continent in the southern hemisphere. The existence of this herdship was known only to a few Ithorians. The ruined Jedi Temple was located in this impenetrable alien jungle.

Just south of Refuge City lay a crater that had been caused by a meteor strike shortly after the devastation. The Bothans paid Caamas 50,000 credits a year to use this location as a waste dump. The funds went directly to decontamination efforts. It was virtually unknown that Bothan Debris, Inc., who rented the location, was a front for the Bothan Spynet, run by an agent named Kursk Te'tell.
[edit] Bothan Complicity

In order to devastate the surface of Caamas, Palpatine had to ensure the planetary shield generators were deactivated. To that end, he hired a group of Bothan operatives, an action that did not come to light until the Caamas Document was uncovered from the remains of Mount Tantiss in 19 ABY, prompting a major crisis in the New Republic. To add to the confusion, a copy of the document was altered shortly after its discovery by Grodin Tierce to implicate Bothan clans who had had no involvement in the operation, a copy which was given to Lando Calrissian by a fake Grand Admiral Thrawn.
[edit] Later history

In 130 ABY, it was the site of the final battle of the Sith-Imperial War. The choice of the system hints that it may have been one of the planets terraformed during the Ossus Project. [ ]Iridonia
Iridonia was the harsh homeworld of the Zabrak. Due to the harsh living conditions, the Zabrak were a hardy species. They took to flight and then space travel as soon as they could develop the technology, and by the time the Duros encountered them, they had already colonized five systems. As a Mid Rim world situated near important hyperspace lanes, Iridonia was one of the key worlds that connected the Outer Rim to the Inner Rim. As such, it was often one of the first planets to be pulled into a war. During the Old Sith Wars, the planet was the site of numerous battles.

The First Battle of Iridonia, fought during the Great Sith War, was a major victory for the Galactic Republic. It was a turning point in the war which gave the Republic Military and the Jedi Order momentum which would help them to eventually defeat their Sith adversaries.

Several of Iridonia's colonies along the Outer Rim were conquered by the Mandalorians during the initial stages of the Mandalorian Wars. After learning of the loss of their colonies, many Iridonians, including Bao-Dur, sought revenge by joining the Republic's war effort against the Mandalorian invaders. In the same year, 3,963 BBY, the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders launched a major offensive against Iridonia. After a successful campaign, they occupied the planet for a number of months, but Iridonia was eventually liberated by the Republic Military.

Iridonia changed hands a number of times during the Jedi Civil War. The Sith Empire and the Republic fought fiercely over the planet, and both sides used it as a staging ground during the conflict. Due to the fact that Iridonia was occupied by the Sith at times, the eight Iridonian colonies became self sufficient. Following the war, they broke away and became independent worlds.

Around 1,002 BBY, the Brotherhood of Darkness operated a Sith academy on the world that trained Sith Acolytes and apprentices. The Sith also hired Zabrak mercenaries from the planet's high council.

After the Battle of Ruusan, the Zabrak established colonies on many far-flung worlds. The Zabrak of Iridonia maintained the most militant culture, and Zabrak youths from the colonies were often sent to the original homeworld for warrior training.

It is likely that Palpatine visited Iridonia at some point between 54 BBY and 50 BBY and found the young Zabrak boy who would soon become his apprentice, the fearsome Darth Maul.

Kaysil Verwood became the first New Republic Senator of her people, representing not only Iridonia but all the Zabrak colonies. The Zabrak were founding members of the government, as Verwood attended the Galactic Caucus to form the new government.

Notable Iridonians include Darth Maul, Bao-Dur, Eeth Koth, Agen Kolar, Drell Kahmf, Kass Tod, Sirak, Maris Brood, and Jurgan Kalta.

[ ]Basilisk
Basilisk was home to the Basiliskans, an intelligent lizard species. They were the creators of the Basilisk War Droids, that were rumored to be modeled after themselves. During their war with the Mandalorians around the year 3,997 BBY, the Basiliskans chemically poisoned their own planet, in a last effort to defeat their conquerors. Despite receiving Jedi and Republic reinforcements under Sidrona Diath at the Battle of Basilisk, the Mandalorians conquered the planet and enslaved the remaining Basiliskans.

After the war, the Mandalorians found a new use for the Basiliskans. With their tough hides and claws, with which they could be trained, and their intelligence, the Mandalorians used them as weapons for aerial and ground fighting during later wars. Because of this the Basiliskans degenerated and became nothing more than beasts. As such, they were re-named the Lagartoz War Dragons.

The planet was once more fought over during the Clone Wars. Basilisk was a Core world in the Arrowhead of the Slice, near Coruscant.

[ ]Osarian
Osarian was a planet in the Expansion Region, near the Corellian Run. It was in the same system as Rhommamool, an inhospitable desert world. The two planets orbited each other that brought them within a million kilometers of each other every ten years, usually resulting in a flare-up of hostilities between the two. The worlds would remain in missile-strike range for months.

Osarian was dotted by crystal-clear lakes which were rimmed by white sandy beaches. The Osarians were wealthy and also ruled neighboring Rhommamool. Life on neighboring Rhommammol was tough compared to Osarian with basic essentials like water even lacking. Osarian had a small space fleet, but its technology was mainly limited to the ground.

In 25 ABY, it was led by Shunta Osarian Dharrg. During the Osarian-Rhommamool conflict, Nom Anor ordered a missile strike against the capital city Osa-Prime when the orbits of Osarian and Rhommamool were at their closest, destroying the city and causing the political conflict to become a war. More missiles would be fired by Rhommamool, destroying more Osarian cities. Large red thermonuclear blast clouds also appeared over the planet, presumably causing harm to millions of Osarians.

Later, during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, the Iron Knights repelled an attack by the Red Knights of Life on Osarian.

Hyperlanes
[ ]Hydian Way
It was blazed around 3,000 BBY, by famed Brentaal native Freia Kallea, and helped open up much of the galaxy beyond the region known as The Slice, fundamentally altering the scale of galactic civilization.

Beginning at the Outer Rim world of Bonadan, the Hydian Way lead past Bandomeer and Taris to Bogden in the Inner Rim. Just after intersection with the Perlemian Trade Route at Brentaal, one of the Core Worlds, the Corellian Run was connected near Caamas. The Hydian Way then went by Alderaan and Rendili, to cross the Corellian Run again, this time at Inner Rim world Denon. It continued near Derra IV in the Expansion Region and Malastare in the Mid Rim, crossing Rimma Trade Route at Eriadu, and ended in the Outer Rim, close to Polis Massa and Subterrel.
00
[ ]Corellian Run
The Corellian Run was a major hyperspace route running through the galaxy, mapped between 25,000 BBY and 24,000 BBY. It began at Coruscant, going around the Deep Core to reach Corellia, where the Corellian Trade Spine branched off. From Corellia, it proceeded to Nubia, its final stop in the Core Worlds before it traversed the other major regions of the galaxy.

Beyond that, it passed through Tynna, Cularin, Rodia, Druckenwell, Tatooine, Geonosis, Ryloth, and Shimia. It ended near the distant Outer Rim worlds of Rothana and Lamaredd.
00
[ ]Kessel Run
The Kessel Run was an 18-parsec route used by smugglers to move glitterstim spice from Kessel to an area south of the Si'Klaata Cluster without getting caught by the Imperial ships that were guarding the movement of spice from Kessel's mines. Worlds along the Kessel Run included Fwillsving, Randa, Rion, and possibly Zerm.

It took travelers in real space around The Maw leading them to an uninhabitable—but far easier to navigate—area of space called The Pit, which was an asteroid cluster encased in a nebula arm making sensors as well as pilots go virtually blind. Thus there was a high chance that pilots, weary from the long flight through real space, would crash into an asteroid.
00
[ ]Myto's Arrow
Myto's Arrow was a hyperspace route that was located in the Outer Rim. It was discovered by its namesake, Galactic Republic scout Keos Myto. The route connected Dantooine located in the Raioballo Sector with the Obtrexta Sector. In the years following the Battle of Endor, part of this route was under the authority of the Pentastar Alignment. They allowed the Karazak Slaver's Cooperative to operate on and around Gabredor III, one of the planets in their section of the route.
